![]() Some local friends here even purchased Mjuc licenses 2x or 3x to do a donation. I do think pros will use tools pretty specifically so one 1176 emulation will work in one context and not another.įrom another perspective, I purchase Tony`s creations also to support him, ![]() I think someone with a vast knowledge of plug ins would really need to do a comprehensive run down. Maybe the Slate Red and Focusrite would be a better debate. There was a debate on the MJUC thread about that vs the Red compressor. Someone much more knowledgeable than I ,would have to go down the list of offerings and pair them. I also don't expect Reelbus to replace VTM, (to name a couple). I can't say the Sonimus or SKNote console emulations replace VCC for me. Whether there are viable alternatives, not so sure. Not debating anything here, but I do think the emulations are still very competitive cost wise, and the quality and innovation are still there. I find it ironic since he's trying to offer low cost ways to use his emulations (subscription), and a format to keep the prices low (the rack). ![]() Slate was seen as a high quality low cost alternative to Waves, UAD, Softube, etc. It used to be Slate against the world, and now it's like Slate is one of the establishment companies. It's funny, I think in a way Slate is almost a victim of it's own success. ![]()
